Early Numbers Suggest Super Bowl LII Had Lowest Ratings Since 2010
Preliminary ratings are down from the earliest numbers of last year’s Super Bowl.

Early ratings data from Super Bowl LII are a mixed bag for NBC and the NFL, according to Deadline. Despite what looks like a 3 percent drop from last year’s Super Bowl LI between the Falcons and Patriots, the 2018 game found ratings success in the introduction of new streaming options. Based on available data the Eagles’ victory over the Patriots marked the least-watched Super Bowl since the Saints beat the Colts in 2010. Sunday’s matchup is down 5 percent from 2015 when the Patriots’ last-second victory over the Seahawks capped the highest-rated Super Bowl of all time.
