Original Site of Woodstock to Host 50th Anniversary Concert
The three-day music festival will be held at what is now the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
The original site of the 1969 Woodstock concert will host a 50th anniversary show this summer.
The three-day festival will take place Aug. 16-18 at what is now known as the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts — a concert venue that was built on the Woodstock grounds, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Performers will include “prominent and emerging artists spanning multiple genres and decades,” according to the center. The long weekend will also feature talks by “leading futurists and retro-tech experts.”
The first Woodstock Music and Arts Fair held Aug. 15-17, 1969 drew more than 400,000 people to Max Yasgur’s farm in the Sullivan County town of Bethel, New York.
