Ex-White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci won’t address the public on Friday as planned, Variety reports. Instead, he announced in a tweet that he’s taking time to “focus on family” and his “work in the private sector.

Scaramucci planned to speak during the online event about his abrupt departure from his role at the White House. He tweeted the event’s cancellation just three hours after the New Yorker released audio of Scaramucci’s career-ending phone call, in which he unleashed a stream of on-the-record insults and obscenities aimed at his colleagues in the Trump Administration.
