Herman Miller’s best-selling Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman is currently over $1,000 off at Design Within Reach.

One of the most iconic pieces of furniture ever designed, the mid-’50s club chair is a permanent fixture in the MoMA, and somehow as cool today as when it was first released.

The original vision was a chair that resembled a “well-used first basemen’s mitt.” Charles and Ray Eames realized that vision by using molded plywood technology, and the chair has been in continuous production ever since. To this day, every single Eames chair is made by hand. If you have a blank check and an empty living room, you can do no better than bringing one of these bad boys home.
