Team USA’s Disappointing Pyeongchang Performance

The United States' 10 medals thus far don't quite live up to the hype.

The PyeongChang games have yielded disappointing results for Team USA thus far. A new CNN article delves into the United States’ 10 medal performance, as of Sunday night. Although the US has 244 representatives at this year’s games, Team USA is currently on track to secure its fewest medals since the 1998 games. Some of Team USA’s highest-profile stars, most notably Nathan Chen and Lindsey Vonn, have failed to medal in their events. The results, however, have not been all bad. 17-year-old snowboarder Chloe Kim took home gold last week, and Vonn will have another chance to compete for her second-career gold in downhill skiing.
