NBA Playoffs: Heat Pull Even With 76ers, Warriors Win Again
Wade hit 11 of 17 shots on his way to 28 points in a throwback performance in Philly.
He may no longer be Flash to Shaq’s Superman, but Dwayne Wade showed on Monday night that he can still provide some sparks when he puts his mind to it.
During a throwback performance in Philadelphia, Wade help guide the Miami Heat to a 113-103 victory over the 76ers to tie the two teams’ first-round matchup up at a game apiece.
Wade hit 11 of 17 shots on his way to 28 points in 26 minutes off the bench in the win, a victory that dealt the 76ers their first defeat since March 13, snapping a streak of 17 consecutive wins.
In Oakland, the San Antonio Spurs didn’t have a Wade of their own and were unable to replicate Miami’s effort, falling into a 0-2 hole in their series against the Warriors with a 116-101 loss.
With Stephen Curry watching in street clothes, teammates Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson paced the Warriors by scoring 63 points combined on the night. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 34 for the Spurs but didn’t get enough help from his supporting cast to make the game close.
Tonight, the Celtics will look to extend to a 2-0 lead in their series against the Bucks in Boston, the Raptors will try to take a 2-0 lead in their matchup against the Wizards in Toronto and the Trail Blazers will try to even themselves up at 1-1 with the Pelicans in Portland.
