In 1987, Mike Tyson (30-0) defeated Tony Tucker (34-0) in the first-ever meeting between undefeated heavyweight world titleholders.

It’s been more than 30 years, but the second-ever match between undefeated heavyweight world titleholders is happening this weekend when Anthony Joshua takes on Joseph Parker.

At Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday, Joshua (20-0, 20 KO) will fight Parker (24-0, 18 KO) in a heavyweight unification bout which will be televised live on Showtime starting at 5 p.m. (there are undercards which may be broadcast before the main event.).

Whichever fighter takes home the victory in front of an anticipated sellout crowd of 78,000 fans will capture the WBA, IBF and WBO belts, three-fourths of the weight-class titles.

“He’s at his best. I’m at my best,” Parker, the underdog, said. “This is the perfect time for the fight. There are going to be no excuses. Whoever wins is the best on the day.”

The winner will likely go on to face undefeated titleholder Deontay Wilder for the undisputed championship and the chance to be the first boxer to hold every belt during the four-belt era.
