Anthem Protester Eric Reid Questioned About Kneeling During Bengals Interview

The free agent safety hasn't decided about whether he will continue to kneel if signed.

With questionable characters like Pacman Jones, Vontaze Burfict and Tyler Boyd the Cincinnati Bengals and owner Mike Brown are obviously willing to put up with a lot.

But, it seems there’s something they won’t stand for: kneeling during the national anthem.

During a meeting with the team, noted anthem protester and former 49ers safety Eric Reid was asked about kneeling last season before games.

Despite it not being illegal nor a violation of NFL rules, Brown personally explained to Reid that he intends to prohibit kneeling during the anthem and asked the free agent what he thought.

According to ProFootballTalk, Reid hasn’t made any final decisions about whether he is going to give up kneeling and wasn’t willing to commit one way or the other to Brown in the meeting.

Reid, who reportedly would prefer to sign with the 49ers, left Cincinnati without a contract.
