GQ has published a profile of, Zach Woods, the man who plays the beloved and weird ‘Jared’ on the HBO satirical series Silicon Valley. Woods acknowledges that he shares some things in common with Jared—the intelligence, kindness, and sincerity that make him the show’s most moral center—while thankfully lacking Jared’s extraordinarily dark past.

The mission of Lauren Larson’s profile is to get to the root of Woods’ attractiveness, the persona that makes him the unassuming ladies man of Silicon Valley. “Jared is empathetic, he’s a good listener, he loves women, and he’s discreet,” Woods told GQ regarding his character.

That simplicity and internal confidence has made him one of the most popular TV actors of the last several years, one primed for further comedy stardom.
