Sacre boo! A French author and TV host has sparked international outrage after claiming that he was “incapable” of loving women over 50.

“Come on now, let’s not exaggerate! That’s not possible … too, too old.” Yann Moix, 50, said in a conversation with Marie Claire magazine’s French edition, The Guardian reported. He went on to add that women in their 50s are “invisible” to him.

“I prefer younger women’s bodies, that’s all,” he continued. “The body of a 25-year-old woman is extraordinary. The body of a woman of 50 is not extraordinary at all.”

Moix proceeded to further alienate a large percentage of the women on the planet but noting that he prefers to date Asian women, specifically Koreans, Chinese and Japanese.

“It’s perhaps sad and reductive for the women I go out with,” he said,”but the Asian type is sufficiently rich, large and infinite for me not to be ashamed.”

As it turns out, many women who are in their fifties aren’t that into Moix, either.

In response, journalist Colombe Schneck, 52, published a photo of a backside on her Instagram account. “Voila, the buttocks of a woman aged 52…what an imbecile you are, you don’t know what you’re missing, you and your tiny, paunchy brain.”

Feminist author Mona Chollet added that Moix was a “sad sire”, while Laura Hulley, from the political section of the British Embassy in Paris, tweeted: “Happy new year, sexists everywhere!”
