The Instinct covers all the basics that you’ve come to expect from Garmin. It tracks your workouts, monitors your heart rate and alerts you when you’re getting a call or text. But this puppy really shines in the backcountry, when multiple GPS systems track your location and Garmin’s Tracback feature directs you back to your starting point. Constructed to U.S. military standards, the Instinct can swim up to 100 meters deep, and it’s rated for thermal and shock-resistance too.
We’re also stoked on the battery life, which lasts an eternity, and the battery saver mode for unexpected emergencies when a watch can actually save your life. In short, it’s one of our favorite watches, and an excellent choice for people leading active lifestyles.
