Jerry Seinfeld’s First Netflix Special Premieres in September

The prolific comedian is returning to stand-up.

Jerry Seinfeld’s first stand-up Netflix special will be available to stream on September 19, according to an announcement posted by the comedian on Instagram. With the news, Seinfeld shared images of legal pads he’s used to write and edit jokes on since 1975.

“I’ve made my first Netflix stand up special about how I got started in comedy in the 70’s. It busts out Sept. 19. In the meantime, here’s some material and notes from my earliest sets,” Seinfeld wrote.

“Jerry Before Seinfeld” will explore how the comedian got his start in New York. Named by Forbes as the highest-paid comedian of 2017, he reportedly made $100 million in a titanic deal with Netflix to not only sign over stand-up specials to them, but also house his entire catalog of the Emmy-nominated talk show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” Take a look at some highlights from the show below.
