Even superheroes get banged up once in a while.
Actor Jeremy Renner said Friday he “broke both his arms” during a stunt gone wrong for the New Line comedy Tag, Variety is reporting.
“That’s how it goes,” Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel movies, told reporters at a press conference for the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. “It’s part of the job.”
The actor also discussed Avengers: Infinity War, briefly causing confusion about where and when the injuries were sustained.
But he clarified that he was hurt while filming the comedy, not the action blockbuster, and said it wouldn’t affect his job. “I’m sort of a problem solver, you know. There will be an effect to it, but it won’t stop me from doing things that I need to be doing,” Renner said.
“I’ll heal fast. I’m doing everything I can to heal faster.”
