In a rare bright spot in what has been a dismal year for DeMarcus Cousins, the injured Los Angeles Lakers center got married to his girlfriend Morgan Lang over the weekend in Atlanta.

But the shine has certainly come off that event, as TMZ reports that Cousins threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend Christy West prior to the ceremony.

According to court documents and a police report obtained by the outlet, West claims Cousins threatened her the day before the wedding during an argument about whether the former couple’s seven-year-old son would be allowed to attend the ceremony.

During the exchange — which West recorded — a man identified to be Cousins says he is “gonna make sure” that “I put a bullet in your f*cking head” while speaking to West.

In a court filing seeking a restraining order, West alleges Cousins also told her he was going to kill her, “even if he didn’t have to get his hands dirty doing it.”

“He’s been through a lot of late, so I’m happy to see him smile, be able to take his mind off his injury and enjoy his day,” former NBA player Matt Barnes told TMZ at the wedding.

Sounds like Cousins may have more to worry about other than his injury following this report.
