This week, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was spotted having a bite to eat on a Connecticut park bench instead of on the beach near his home on Nantucket where he typically spends the NFL offseason.
His meal of choice? A Subway sandwich.
Ditching his signature hoodie and warm-up pants for a polo shirt and khakis, Belichick was spotted on the town green in Branford eating a sandwich for a new commercial the restaurant chain was apparently shooting. Branford is a quiet town that matches Belichick’s stoic personality that also isn’t too far from Subway headquarters in Milford.
It’s believed this is the first time the curmudgeonous coach has endorsed a national chain or made an appearance in a commercial that wasn’t in some way officially involved with the Patriots.

So what is Belichick's favorite Subway sub?

For the record, our guess is the Italian BMT.
In a way, the 68-year-old inking a deal to endorse a sandwich company makes a lot of sense as he’s always been a fan of two pieces of bread stuffed with yummy ingredients. In fact, before Belichick was in New England with the Patriots, he once recorded a video offering advice on how to make a proper PB&J sandwich while he was in Cleveland with the Browns.
