You Can Own One of the Crazy Nap Pods They Use at Facebook HQ

It's a lean, mean, pipe dream machine

The biggest obstacle to napping?

Finding a cool, well-lighted place to do it.

In order to help workaday gents catch a quick wink or 40 in transit, a British company has created a polycarbonate sleeping pod that can be installed pretty much anywhere.

Equipped with a sliding side door, LEDs, central air and a mattress, the Podtime is basically Airbnb meets a CT scanner. It  can be outfitted with additional options like a television, charging ports and a secret luggage compartment, and they can be stacked on top of one another, barrack-style, to create full-blown public napping camps.

The company suggests using the flat-pack pods in airports, offices, hospitals or even your own home, and with a corporate client list that already includes brands like FX, Nestle and Facebook, this is no pipe dream (unless you’re talking literally, in which case that’s exactly what it is). The Podtime units start at around $3,000, and ships internationally in about four weeks.
