TV Dinner

July 2, 2012 9:00 am EDT

The dishes on TV cooking shows look so mouthwatering, if only you could reach in and grab them. And maybe Padma Lakshmi as well. Colicchio, you can stay.

Enjoy a dinner even the surliest celebrity judge would love at Rooted — a first-ever dinner experience cheffed by Elise Kornack, the youngest-ever winner of Food Network’s Chopped, tickets on sale now.

Rooted is the inaugural dinner soiree of Take Root, Kornack’s just-opened culinary studio in Brooklyn where she crafts weekend tasting menus using skills learned behind the burners at Spotted Pig and Aquavit.

Kornack will intro each of the five courses, which include market fresh, summer-inspired dishes like a tarragon and ricotta terrine with pickled plum and crispy faro, harissa-cured char with cucumber and sesame-rye crisp, and stone fruit with caramelized white chocolate and basil sherbet.

Dinner’s BYOB, and Kornack will be sending out suggestions of wines to pair with the evening’s dishes.

Tickets to Rooted are only available through the curators at Sidetour, and InsideHook readers are the first to know. So better reach in and grab them.
