New England Zoo Names Baby Goat Foles to Pay Off Super Bowl GOAT Bet
If the Pats had beaten the Eagles, the Philadelphia Zoo would have named a goat Brady.
More than a decade after he infamously posed with a baby goat for a GQ cover, Tom Brady and goats are once again linked in the news – and not just because he is one (Greatest Of All Time).
To pay off a Super Bowl bet with the Philadelphia Zoo linked to Brady’s GOAT status, Zoo New England named a newborn Nigerian dwarf goat after Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.

“In New England and beyond, it’s a known fact that Tom Brady is the GOAT,” Zoo New England CEO John Linehan said when the bet was made. “This challenge with the Philadelphia Zoo is the perfect way to have some fun and friendly competition heading into the big game on Sunday,”
If New England had beaten the Eagles in the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Zoo would have named their next newborn goat Brady.
“Foles is an appropriate name for your newest goat kid,” the Philadelphia Zoo tweeted in response. “What an exciting time to know only a world where the Eagles are world champions!”
