Roseanne Barr to Perform Live Show at NYC Comedy Club

“I don’t personally agree with Roseanne’s politics, but I do believe in freedom of speech,” the comedy club’s owner said.

Roseanne Barr will perform a live podcast with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach at a comedy club in New York this Thursday, Page Six is reporting. The outlet notes that Boteach has already interviewed Barr following her racist tweet — and the subsequent cancellation of her show — and says that people should forgive her.

Dani Zoldan of Stand Up NY owns the venue and sympathizes with Barr, telling Page Six: “She’s a stand-up comic at heart,” and “I sympathize with her on that front. That’s why I’m allowing this podcast. The liberal Upper West Side is not going to be OK with having her on their turf, but we’re a comedy club . . . We don’t censor our comics.”

Zoldan warned that any hecklers will be thrown out of the venue, which has previously hosted the likes of Ann Coulter, Michael Moore and Milo Yiannopoulos.
