A new era of high-fashion porn is upon us. Pornhub is going haute with the release of what, according to Page Six, is believed to be the world’s first-ever high-fashion porno.
Berlin designers Namilia released the clip on Wednesday, introducing the world to the wonders of high-fashion pornography. The video, directed by Gogy Esparza and featuring Pornhub stars Asa Akira, Ana Foxxx, Daisy Taylor, Janice Griffith and Rae Lil Black, features Namilia’s new capsule collection, as well as performers masturbating and playing with sex toys.
But while the clip may mark the world’s first high-fashion porn video, it’s far from the first time fashion and porn have overlapped. In fact, it’s not even the first time Namilia and PornHub have teamed up. Back in February, PornHub stars hit the runway, modeling Namilia’s Herotica collection for New York Fashion Week.
“The cosmos of sexual pleasure has been restricted to a few boring and chauvinistic narratives for the pleasure of the male gaze,” Namilia designer Nan Li told Page Six in February. “Porn isn’t something existentially male. Most women just have been excluded from determining the narrative.”
The fashion porno marks Pornhub’s latest foray into arguably higher forms of art than the content with which the brand has typically been associated. Back in May, Pornhub dipped a toe into the indie film world after offering to stream Germany’s Oldenburg Film Festival, and a few months before, the company branched out into non-erotic film for the first time with the sex-industry documentary Shakedown.
