Referring to President Trump as “the devil,” controversial filmmaker Michael Moore appeared on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show to discuss his forthcoming film, Fahrenheit 11/9, about the current White House administration.
“Look, we’re in deep, deep trouble here,” Moore told comedian Stephen Colbert. “This [the film] is about how the hell we got in this situation, and how we’re going to get out of it.”
Saying “this is not who we are” in reference to the immigrant toddlers currently appearing in court by themselves, Moore told Colbert that he is hopeful for the future because “the majority of Americans are very liberal.”
“They take the liberal position on most issues. They believe that women should be paid the same as men, they believe that there’s climate change — go down the list…the majority of fellow Americans are liberal. And we, the Democrats, have won the presidency, the popular vote, in six of the last seven presidential elections.”
“The country we live in doesn’t want the Republicans in the White House…we’re the majority.”
Moore’s film hits theaters on September 21. Take a look at the clip below.
