Lufthansa Just Announced 7-Foot Business-Class Beds

Plus: Aisle access for everyone in the cabin

Airlines have cut back a bit in recent memory, to the point that a free bag of pretzels now feels a little like a victory.

Lufthansa, thankfully, is headed in the other direction. One of Europe’s largest airlines, the German-based airfleet just unveiled designs for an ultra-handsome business class cabin projected to hit the skies in 2020 in their Boeing 777X aircraft.

The for-now conceptual cabin, which will fit about 45-60 passengers, is for long-legged, “I just can’t sleep on a plane,” always-gets-the-broken-TV passengers everywhere. Each individual seat will have aisle access (a first for the airline), personal storage, flat surfaces with charging stations and HD screens. The real kicker, though? The reclining seats that can convert to seven-foot beds.

2020 is looking to be a year of choice snores.
