Netflix released the trailer for its most expensive movie to date, starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton. The trailer for Bright premiered at San Diego Comic-Con.
Directed by Suicide Squad and End of Watch director David Ayer, the movie is a fantasy epic with Smith as a human cop and Edgerton as an Orc-like cop. The alternative universe, though seemingly set in present day, also includes elves and fairies.
The screenplay was written by Max Landis. Smith himself helped finance the film through his production company Overbrook Entertainment, which has backed a majority of his films, according to The Verge.
Bright is scheduled to be released sometime on December 22nd on Netflix.
