Sharon Stone became a legendary film femme fatale in 1992’s Basic Instinct. And while most of us remember it for that leg-crossing-heard-’round-the-world scene (watch the NSFW clip here), her entire performance was an acting tour de force, one that showed off her undeniable acting chops and made her an international superstar and sex symbol.

Yesterday, Stone shared her audition video for the movie on Twitter, much to the enjoyment of her 80,000-plus followers.

That’s direct Paul Verhoeven reading what would become Michael Douglas’ part. (You can’t help but wonder if those stutters in his speech were real reactions to Stone’s seductive reading.)
