Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of it. Today: Spiceology releases family-inspired blends, Berluti releases a brilliant bag and Kith x Columbia sees streetwear and outdoor gear collide.

KITH

Kith For Columbia

Returning for their sixth year in a row, Kith for Columbia’s hallowed collaboration smashes premier streetwear and heritage outdoor gear into a 45-piece collection of apparel and accessories inspired by the outdoors and interpreted through the Kith lens. Featuring colors of the Sonoran Desert like Red Hibiscus, Sanguine, and Cyber Purple, Kith x Columbia is poppy, technical and on-trend all at once, a rarity in a world of tired collabs and cooked streetwear. Most of the collection sold out in minutes after it launched Friday morning, but there’s still some graphic tees, low-key hoodies and the odd piece of gear for you to snap up (for now, at least).

Quip

Quip Mouthwash Starter Kit

You may already know oral wellness brand Quip from their futuristic toothbrushes, but the new Mouthwash Start Kit is worth a look, as well. A minimalist dispenser, refill pack and dosage cup all come standard with the pack, and you can purchase refills on monthly subscription, if that’s your thing.

TAG Heuer

TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition

We’ve already extensively raved about TAG Heuer Calibre smartwatch, but the special Golf Edition is just too clean not to shout out. Featuring a redesigned interface, new automated shot-tracker, updated golf software and a magnetic ball marker built into the strap, it’s the ultimate tool for your long game. And your short game. Any game, really.

Jefferson’s Ocean Aged At Sea Rye Whiskey

The 26th edition of this literal aged at sea whiskey is the first rye release — the liquid is a rye whiskey that was double-barreled (75% in char 3 barrels and 25% in toasted barrels), then placed on ships and sent out through the world’s waterways to mature at sea. We’ll have a review soon.

a collapsible luggage piece
Rollinks

Your soft luggage is collapsible. Your hard luggage? It shouldn’t be … unless it’s this polycarbonate hardshell, designed to fold flat to 2’’ thick. And they still have wheels.

Shinola

Shinola Traveler Watch

Are we happy to see that Shinola is expanding its Duck line, one of our favorite designs among the brand’s many recent horological triumphs? Of course. Are we more excited to be presented with something brand new, as we got this week with The Traveler? You bet. The 42mm quartz chronograph comes in four styles, one with a PVD gold case that bumps up the price a bit, and features a number of intriguing elements. Specifically, the sub-dials and date window encroach upon the numerals, which in other watches can feel like the designers ran out of space; here, it feels like a fun extension of Shinola’s deliberately eccentric design language.

Technics

Technics SL1200M7L

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Technics SL1200, a new limited-edition release of this classic turntable is available in seven different colorways. Each color features a gold tonearm along with a special badge inscribed with serial number.

Hoplark

Hoplark 0.0 Citra

They’re touting this release as the craft beer industry’s “first zero alcohol, zero-calorie, zero sugar, and zero gluten” release with double dry-hopped flavor. Once again, we’ll have more on this one soon.

Todd Snyder

Todd Snyder x Timex Liquor Store After Dark Watch

Two years after Todd Snyder released the first Liquor Store watch, a Timex collab and homage to the menswear brand’s storied Tribeca outpost, they’re back with a nighttime edition. The ecru dial is swapped for black, which contrasts better with the gold hands and numerals, and the olive green strap is also exchanged for black canvas. Thankfully, the automatic movement has stayed put.

Oru

The Oru Lake

We at InsideHook have been fans of Oru Kayak for years, and not just in a behind-the-screen kind of way. One of our writers actually took one of these ingenious, lightweight origami kayaks down the wildest river in Texas. (Yes, he’s still with us.) The brand’s latest model, currently funding on Kickstarter, is called the Lake, and it’s their most affordable and lightest kayak yet. It will eventually retail for $699, but if you’re willing to wait until a planned delivery date of August you can back the crowdfunding campaign and preorder one for a significant discount. Or if you want an Oru this summer, just head to their website and buy one of their older versions the normal way.

Spiceology

Spiceology x Maker’s Mark 46 Seasonings

Ever wish you could just jar up mom’s homemade meatballs, let them turn into powder and subsequently sprinkle on everything? Okay, that sounds a little gross, but Maker’s Mark x Spiceology runs with the idea of powderized home cooking with four new special edition seasonings. From “Fried & True” to “Everything Potato” these blends have responsible and ingredients and handmade flavors that you just can’t find anywhere else (besides mom’s house, of course).

a black leather Berluti bag
Berluti

Berluti Jour Softly Late Hour Scritto Soft Leather Shopper

You can’t put a price on luxury. Oh, wait, yes you can. $3,600 — and Berluti’s newest leather shopper is worth every cent.

BALLS

BALLS Trimmer

Not all manscaping tools are the same, as proven by the elite functionality of the BALLS Trimmer: featuring micro trimming ceramic blades, a perfectly tuned 6,200RPM motor, a waterproof finish and fully wireless form, it’s the complete package to help complete your package.
