To start, the layer’s Primaloft Gold is top-tier synthetic insulation, in that it’s ultra lightweight but not at the expense of warmth, and this is stuffed full of it (it also features NASA-developed Aerogel, billed as the world’s lightest solid, and while we’re not exactly sure what that means, it sounds dope). Second, the shell is both windproof and water-resistant, but still breathable, making it the perfect layer to combat the final few days of winter and, soon enough, April showers. Lastly, and arguably most pertinent, is that it’s a “packaway” jacket, meaning if it starts to get warm, you can tuck it away into its own pocket and easily stash it away for later use. Because why wouldn’t you want to do to that?
