It’s the simple things in life that are worth having — like the love of a good woman or, if you’ve already got that, really good speakers that simply require no work to set up.
Covering the speaker part of that spectrum: the incredibly sleek, wireless, and easy-to-use HiddenRadio, just released.
The stylish result of six years of slavish devotion (and just now realized via Kickstarter’s near million-dollar campaign), HiddenRadio is minimalist nirvana — no buttons, no wires. Instead, everything from volume to wireless set-up is controlled by a simple flick of the wrist.
The key to the insanely easy-to-port HRs (which weigh under a pound) lies in its interactive cap, which shifts volume as it’s raised and lowered. Twisting the cap also turns on the Bluetooth wireless — once raised, you’re one click away on your iPhone from blasting 90 decibel surround sound (about the same specs as a Jawbone Jambox, with a 15-hour rechargable battery to boot).
The radios, available in metallic silver, graphite black or “pure white,” are now on sale to the general public for $150-$180. But note they won’t ship until early fall — quite simply, you’ll have to wait.
