This Little Button Can Control Everything in Your Smart Home

Flic is basically a less invasive digital assistant

If Alexa’s always-listening ear gives you the heebie-jeebies, there’s a button you can push to make it go away.

And that’s Flic.

Flic is a weather-resistant button that can stick about anywhere. With either a click, double click or hold, the button “triggers” different automated devices around your home. Working through a smartphone app, you can control music, lights or even do things like order an Uber — whatever you assign the button to do.

Lasting up to two years, Flic (formerly an Indiegogo project) starts at $35, but is available at steep discounts if you buy in packs of four or eight.
