RealClearLife landed the top spot in the Online General Culture category in the 2018 Telly Awards Wednesday, winning a Gold Telly Award — alongside Oprah Winfrey — for a feature piece on legendary artist Chuck Close. Produced in conjunction with DeCubellis Films, the video follows Close visiting “his” station, which boasts twelve large portraits he produced for the 86th Street stop of the Second Avenue subway.

“I wanted the mosaics to reflect the ridership,” Close told RealClearLife. “So I found artist friends of mine who fit those categories.”
