New photos have emerged of what is poised to be the world’s tallest, longest glass-bottomed bridge in China. Located in the national park that inspired the floating mountains in James Cameron’s Avatar, Hunan Province’s Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is not for the faint of heart, connecting two precipices about 984 feet above the canyon floor. The transparent bridge spans a third of a mile in length and can accommodate up to 800 people at a time. Designed by Tel Aviv–based architectural firm Haim Dotan Ltd., the feat of structural and architectural engineering holds 10 world records including the world’s highest bungee jump.
