Not every man can be defined by a simple, catch-all label.
Especially when it comes to his clothes: “medium” sounds both vague and insulting.
So find something suited perfectly for you. Like? Asket, an innovative Swedish brand that got its start making T-shirts uniquely shaped to every wearer’s body type. Offering 15 sizes per garment, they now offer an entire summer wardrobe, from lightweight chinos to linen shirts and more.
Asket is the brainchild of a couple Swedish guys who were unhappy with the traditional sizing system used by most clothing brands. Their solution: adding short, regular and long versions of each item to the normal XS-XL range, thus realizing the aforementioned 15 sizes.
After a successful Kickstarter a few years back for their T-shirts (crafted from heavyweight Egyptian cotton), the company has expanded their collection while maintaining great prices (thanks to a direct-to-consumer model) and a “Full Traceability” ethos that allows you to track the components of every garment — from the fabric to the care label — back to their origins.
Currently up for sale: polos, button-downs, sweatshirts, leather belts, hoodies, merino wool socks and more, all soft yet resilient. As well, the brand just started offering Italian cotton-satin chinos, a surprisingly handsome denim shirt and, perfect for summer, relaxed-fit linen shirts (in white, olive or dark navy) complete with mother of pearl buttons. It’ll definitely look better the more you wear it, too.
And this kind of expansion is rare: according to an Asket rep we spoke with, the brand only plans to release 3-4 new items per year.
Asket items start at $45 (for tees) and are available now.
