We get it, you’re busy. Shopping for vintage menswear is aspirational, but something you never get around to. After all, who wants to spend their free time combing through bins of musty clothing, only to maybe find a potentially wearable leather jacket that needs a new zipper, lining and major hide repair?
Not us. That’s why we’re grateful for Taylor Stitch’s Restitch line, where one of our favorite menswear brands offers both vintage pieces from their archives (that they’ve spruced up) and renewed clothing that customers have sold back to them (thus creating an eco-friendly, closed-loop, anti-fast-fashion system). It’s a relatively new program, but the best pieces have always sold out fast — and the latest drop is a doozy.
In the vintage section, there are multiple leather jackets they collaborated on with Golden Bear — that inimitable S.F. institution — that now feature custom graphics, like this brown suede with a red Pegasus and this whiskey leather with art from painters at New Bohemia Signs. A couple of these beauts have already been snatched up, so if they’re your size, you’d better pick one up.
But that’s not all, the latest release also features more economical options, from blue jeans made from Cone Mills denim to heavy bag T-shirts. There are more sizes and styles available there, but we’d be lying if we said they’ll last longer than the jackets.
We've put in the work researching, reviewing and rounding up all the shirts, jackets, shoes and accessories you'll need this season, whether it's for yourself or for gifting purposes. Sign up here for weekly style inspo direct to your inbox.
