Undefeated in international play after winning two games with the New England Patriots in London and another in Mexico City, Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady is set to become the first quarterback to start, and win, a game in three foreign countries when the Buccaneers head to Munich to take on the Seattle Seahawks next season. (As if the seven-time Super Bowl winner and all-time touchdown record-holder needs another accolade.)

Set for the morning of November 13 at Allianz Arena — the home of FC Bayern Munich — the NFL’s first regular-season game in Germany will be one of five games that the league will hold outside of the United States next season as part of its ever-expanding International Series. At some point in the next four years, that series will include another German regular-season game in Frankfurt.

After last staging a game in Mexico in 2019, the NFL will return to Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on November 21 with the Cardinals taking on their NFC West-rival 49ers in a game that could have significant playoff implications for both teams. Both of these NFC West clubs made the playoffs last season, as did their division mates, the Super Bowl LVI champion Los Angeles Rams.

As usual, the NFL will return to London with a three-game slate of games, with the first being the Green Bay Packers taking on the New York Giants on October 9 at the home of English Premier League soccer team Tottenham. The following week, the Minnesota Vikings will play the New Orleans Saints at the same stadium. In the final London game next season, Wembley Stadium will host the Denver Broncos against the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 30.

At first glance, the best game out of the bunch projects to be the Cardinals-49ers in Mexico, as that is the only one featuring two teams that qualified for the postseason last season. Of the remaining eight teams who will be taking part in the International Series next season, only the Packers and Buccaneers made the playoffs. The Jaguars, who will be making their ninth trip to the U.K. since the league began hosting overseas games and are 4-4 playing across the pond, have made the playoffs just once since they began playing in London. The Packers will be making their first trip to London and will become the 32nd and final team to play in the U.K. for the first time.

Though nothing has been made official, possible future International Series destinations include Millennium Stadium in Wales, Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland and Maracanã Stadium in Brazil.
