After going 50-0 in the ring, Floyd Mayweather may be bringing his talents into the octagon.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, the 41-year-old retired boxer said he was going to start working out with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
“I’m gonna start soon,” Mayweather said. “We’ve been texting back and forth. We talked a couple times, so we’re gonna start working out real soon.”
If Mayweather does get himself back into shape and wants to give MMA a shot, it’s a virtual certainty that Conor McGregor will be a willing opponent given the pair reportedly earned more than $100 million apiece for their boxing bout in August.
That said, we’ll have to wait awhile to find out as Mayweather said he might need as much as eight months to prepare for an MMA fight.
