The cooler kings over at Yeti out-Yeti-ed themselves back in 2018 when they released a $300 camp chair. It’s called the Hondo, and despite the initial sticker shock, its industry-leading durability has somewhat won us over (just think of how many cheap outdoor folding chairs you’ve trashed over the years). The only problem? It’s not actually that portable.

That’s the raison d’être behind Yeti’s second effort, the new Trailhead Camp Chair. It boasts similar durability, but it weighs a little over three pounds less than the Hondo and, more importantly, folds in on itself like a traditional camp chair. Instead of relying on your vehicle to lug it around, this is your typical sling-over-your-back outdoor seat. And because it’s Yeti, there’s a cup holder included — and it’s still $300.

Here’s a nice visual explainer of the features:

Will this convince you to drop three Franklins on one seat when you could be spending that money on whiskey and sit on a rock (or a cooler)? Maybe not. But if you see one at a campsite near you, go ahead and ask to take it for a spin. It might change your mind.
