In yoga, energy and strength are a function of flexibility.
Now it appears that’ll be true of solar energy, too.
L.A.-based Sunflare just announced Capture4, a set of solar panels that are as thin and flexible as yoga mats. You’ll be able to slap and wrap them onto rooftops, cars, boats … just about anything in need of some enery.
The panels use copper, indium, gallium and selenide instead of silicon, making them cheaper and less toxic to fabricate than most standard panels currently in production, though how much cheaper remains to be seen, as the prices aren’t yet listed on their website.
You’ll have to wait until next summer — when the first deliveries are expected — to put them to task.
