Back in March, the CEO of sports merchandiser Fanatics, Michael Rubin (who also happens to be co-owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils), reached out to MLB commissioner Rob Manfred with an idea to repurpose jersey materials for gowns and face masks.

Manfred loved the idea, Pennsylvania’s governor and attorney general threw in their support, and Fanatics got to work producing and donating the medical garments across the state — many featuring those iconic, red Phillies stripes.

Now a month later, Fanatics has turned its attention to the general public, with a new collection of team-branded face masks. The CDC has recommended Americans wear cloth masks to help curb the spread of the virus, while some states have officially mandated it. Medical grade masks and N95 respirators, meanwhile, should be reserved for health workers, since they’re in short supply and high demand. For the rest of us, a cloth mask will work just fine.

On the site, find masks repping your favorite NBA teams, NFL teams, NHL teams, MLS teams, and WNBA teams. (No MLB as of yet.) You can buy one individually or purchase a three-pack, and opt for a standard size or a smaller mask for the kids. They’re 100% breathable cotton, they’ll get the job done whenever you have to leave the house, and it’s all for a good cause.

Proceeds will go to various do-good organizations, depending on which league you support, including Feeding America, Second Harvest and the CDC Foundation. Fanatics, for its part, will donate an additional face mask for each one purchased. Shop more face masks for good causes here.
