Admit it, one of the first treat-yourself purchases you considered for our current quarantine was a projector. But chances are you also did a quick Amazon search and found that setting up your own home cinema, despite all of our other technological democratization, is still too expensive.
That’s not the case with Anker’s sub-brand Nebula. We’ve recommended their projectors many times before, both for their portability and affordability. But today the latter is better than ever: the Mars II projector is $150 off at Woot.
What is the Mars II? The most important things to know are that it has a projection size from 30 to 150 inches, two built-in 10W speakers, brightness of 300 ANSI lumens, and a resolution of 720p. In other words, it packs a ton of high-level features that normally cost much more. Also, it has the ability to autofocus, which anyone who has used a projector before knows is a godsend. And while its operating system is listed as Android, don’t worry, you can plug in your iPhone or other Apple tech to this, too — as well as gaming consoles, laptops, and USB drives.
Don’t worry about splurging on a screen just yet. As long as you have a blank wall in a dark room, you’re all set for movie night.
