The Chameleon Pack Camping Chair Doubles as a Backpack

One thing camp chairs are known for: being great to take a load off in the middle of nowhere.

One thing they’re not: being anything less than a pain in the ass to carry.

Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who want to keep their pants water-, mud- and bear sh*t-free, the Chameleon Pack solves this quandary by offering a legit place to sit that doubles as a backpack.

With 32 liters of space at its core, the Chameleon Pack also stores a collapsible Sit-System frame that’s made of aluminum and can support up to 300 pounds. Once the frame is unfurled, the pack can be attached to it create a chair. After it’s setup, gear hangs from the side.

Made from abrasion- and water-resistant nylon, the backpack contains extras like a water bladder holder, laptop storage area and permanent fasteners for the anchors and seat flap.

Currently available for $160 (shipping included) on Kickstarter, the Chameleon should start showing its true colors by this November.
