Netflix’s new docuseries Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich explores the late pedophile and sex trafficker’s ties to some of his famous friends, including President Donald Trump and Prince Andrew. But as The Daily Beast points out, the doc also includes allegations that former President Bill Clinton visited Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Clinton has admitted to flying on Epstein’s private jet, but he denies ever spending time at any of Epstein’s out-of-state properties. “He’s not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and has never been to Little Saint James island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida,” Clinton’s press secretary said in a statement.

However, Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich features people who remember seeing the former president at Little Saint James, dubbed “Pedophile Island.” “Bill Clinton has been on that island,” says Steve Scully, who managed telecommunications for Epstein on Little Saint James from 1999 to 2005. “I saw Bill Clinton sitting with Jeffrey on the living room porch.”

Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre remembers seeing Clinton on the island as well, but she clarifies that she never saw him doing anything scandalous. “I remember having a dinner with Clinton. He was there, and I never saw him do anything improper,” she says. “I wish, you know, he would just come clean about, like, ‘Yeah, I was there. So what? Who cares? I didn’t see anything going on.’”

It’s worth noting that some people are taking the docuseries with a grain of salt, given the fact that it was co-produced by James Patterson, who co-authored the 2016 book version of Filthy Rich with John Connolly and Tim Malloy. Patterson and Clinton have worked together in the past (they co-wrote The President Is Missing in 2018), and they have a new novel that they wrote together —  The President’s Daughter — scheduled to be released in June of 2021.
