The Worst Teams in the History of the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL
The Browns are about to be the second team to lose 16 games in a season.
Back in 2008, the Detroit Lions were the first NFL team to lose 16 games in a season. The Cleveland Browns are on the cusp of becoming the second team to do so. Detroit, which was outscored by 249 points during their winless season, is considered the worst team in NFL history. Who are the other worst teams in the history of the other three major sports? For the MLB, Detroit (unfortunately) takes the hit again. The 2003 Detroit Tigers had a record of 43-119. The 2011-12 Charlotte Bobcats set the worst record for the NBA. That year, they only won 7 games (and lost 59). They suffered from the 2011 NBA lockout. The team had a lot of players who were either too early in their careers or too late. And for the NHL, the worst team goes to the 1974-75 Washington Capitals, who had a record of 8-67-5. The Caps were a bad team on paper and the worst team of all time on the ice, writes ESPN.
