Penn State police are looking into a new allegation of sexual abuse which has been lodged against convicted child molester and former Nittany Lions assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

An unidentified individual told police they were sexually assaulted by Sandusky between June 2000 and September 2010, police spokesman Wyatt DuBois told The Centre Daily Times.

“This incident report is the result of the university’s internal and external reporting procedures upon receipt of a new allegation of abuse by Jerry Sandusky,” DuBois said. “An investigation is ongoing and we have no further comment.”

According to CNN, the incident report indicates the Lasch Football Building as the location of the alleged crimes and lists two counts of rape and two other counts of “sex offenses.”

Sandusky’s lawyer, Al Lindsay, told CNN his client was unaware of what the allegations were about. “I had an opportunity to speak with Mr. Sandusky earlier and he denies that anything happened,” Lindsay said. He also said neither he nor Sandusky have been contacted by officials.

Sandusky was found guilty on 45 counts of child sexual abuse and sentenced to 30 to 60 years in state prison in 2012.

His appeal to the state Superior Court was mostly rejected, but the court did rule mandatory minimums were improperly applied and ordered a new sentencing.

The 75-year-old is scheduled to be resentenced next week and will not be granted a new trial.
