The Biggest Snubs of the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl
Some notable players were left off the Pro Bowl rosters.
The NFL Pro Bowl rosters are built on votes from fans, coaches and players and are all weighted equally. According to SB Nation, this means that players are voted in because they play on good teams or they have plenty of fan support, but it ultimately leaves some of the best stars on the sideline. Two players have been snubbed two times in a row, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and Giants defensive tackle Damon “Snacks” Harrison. Other snubs this year include Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith, who seemed like a shoo-in earlier this year. He has the highest quarterback rating of any signal caller who’s had significant playing time. Chicago Bears Running Back Jordan Howard has more rushing yards than Pro Bowl selections Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram but he didn’t make the cut. Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has been the anchor of a line that paved the way for the NFL’s second-best rushing and scoring offense this season. And Justin Tucker, kicker of the Baltimore Ravens, got snubbed, even though he is one of the best in the league.
