Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart is teaming up with Canadian pot company Canopy Growth to develop a hemp-derived CBD line of animal health products.

According to CNBC, Stewart, who will play an advisory role at Canopy, also brought in Sequential Brands Group, with whom the television personality already works.

“I am delighted to establish this partnership with Canopy Growth and share with them the knowledge I have gained after years of experience in the subject of living,” Stewart said in a statement. “I’m especially looking forward to our first collaboration together, which will offer sensible products for people’s beloved pets.”

It means a lot to the industry to have some a big name and player involved. Weed growers see the partnership as one that will help build trust between the marijuana industry’s community and the consumer.

“As soon as you hear the name Martha, you know exactly who we’re talking about,” Canopy Growth chairman and co-CEO Bruce Linton said. “Martha is one of a kind and I am so excited to be able to work alongside this icon to sharpen our CBD product offerings across categories from human to animal.”

The partnership shouldn’t come as a surprise as the famous personality stars on a TV show with Snoop Dogg who is also a partner of Canopy Growth.
