Drama Series About Life of Audrey Hepburn in the Works

The show will focus on Hepburn's "formative years."

A TV drama series about the life of Hollywood darling, Audrey Hepburn, is currently in development with plans to start shooting in 2020, Variety exclusively reported.

The Oscar-winning actress is best known for her many blockbuster films, including Sabrina, Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and My Fair Lady, but little was publicized about her private life during her reign as one of the more recognizable faces of the 20th century.

The untitled show will focus on Hepburn’s formative years as previously explored in research conducted by Hepburn’s son, Luca Dotti, and Italian journalist and writer Luigi Spinola.

Dotti and Spinola co-authored the 2015 bestselling book “Audrey at Home;” part-biography, part-cookbook featuring anecdotes, excerpts of Hepburn’s letters, her recipes and previously unpublished family photographs, according to Variety.
