You can now buy Michelangelo’s famous Tuscan villa in Castellina di Chianti, not far from Sienna. The historic property is complete with 200 olive trees and an original olive oil mill, and is on the market for about $9.3 million. Debbie Fisher, the owner of listing agency Handsome Properties International, said the most important parts of the property of history’s most celebrated artist include the central tower, which dates back to 1047, its Tuscan countryside views, and original ceilings. Michelangelo Buonarroti bought the stone villa in 1547, three decades after painting the Sistine Chapel. The property includes two guest apartments and an ancient Etruscan driveway, as well as the 12,000-square-foot main house that has 10 bedrooms, seven bathrooms and multiple working fireplaces. When you buy the place, you also get the original deed, signed by the celebrated artist.
