The Bizarre Things People Leave in the Back of an Uber

We’ve all had that brief moment of pure panic after stepping out of an Uber, thinking our phones are driving off without us — but an 8-week-old Chihuahua? No.

The tiny pup was just one of the oddities people somehow managed to forget in their ride shares this year, according to Uber’s annual list of Lost and Found items. The top 50 are what the company has deemed the most “outrageous,” USA Today reported.

The pooch was joined by a number of items that we can only assume were also one-offs, like a Harry Potter magic wand, a breast pump — with breast milk, a dog (probably not THAT dog’s) tuxedo, and a Lego championship wrestling belt.

Uber noted that its passengers are at their most forgetful on Saturdays and Sundays and between the hours of 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. with New Years Day topping the list. You don’t say. More revelatory was that eight of the top 10 most absent-minded cities were located in the South.
