Matt Groening is creating an animated comedy series that will hit Netflix by 2018.

Disenchantment chronicles the life of a drunk princess named Bean, voiced by Abbi Jacobson, and her “feisty elf companion” named Elfo and her “personal demon” named Luci. Nat Faxon will voice Elfo and Eric Andre the demon, according to Vice.

The setting is a magical kingdom called “Dreamland” which is also home to “ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools,” according to the Netflix press release.

Executive producers are Groening and Simpsons writer Josh Weinstein. Rough Draft Studios, the same group that did Futurama, are animating the series.

“Ultimately, Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you,” Groening said in the press release.

Groening has been working on the series for over a year.
