Canada Goose’s mission is clear: keep the planet cold and the people on it warm. Since the launch of their sustainable impact strategy at the end of 2020, the Canadian-based luxury brand has instituted a series of company-wide changes to combat their environmental impact, ranging from a fur-free commitment to a full stop 10-year campaign in conjunction with PBI (Polar Bears International) to protect and conserve the species.
A bit more tangible for anyone looking for a premium winter parka, however, is the outerwear label’s most recent collection, the HUMANATURE capsule. Designed with the luxury performance ethos Canada Goose is known for, the collection represents a new era of commitment to sustainable practices.
Notably, The HUMANATURE capsule sports a unique beige-white color (officially titled griege), a byproduct of the collection’s rejection of dyed fabrics. By eliminating the dying process, production is less reliant on both chemicals and water. The capsule also boasts premium comfort despite its recycled nature, with organic cashmere and responsibly sourced down the heavy lifters. This is not to imply that the offerings skimp in the insulation department; recycled nylon and superior design means every piece is built for superior warmth even in frigid cold temps.
Comprised of the iconic Standard Expedition Parka — one of Canada Goose’s elite performance styles, field tested and approved at temperatures of -22°F and below — as well as four brand new puffers and overcoats like the Rhya, the HUMANATURE collection starts at $495.
