May is Mental Health Awareness month, and New York’s institutions are looking out for each other. One of our favorite running brands, Fourlaps, is pairing with the New York Metro chapter of The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-NYC).

Throughout the month, Fourlaps will donate 20% of proceeds from their best-selling Bolt Short to NAMI-NYC. And for this upcoming Giving Tuesday, May 4th, 100% of proceeds will be donated directly.

“Now more than ever, our NYC community needs access to help,” says Daniel Shapiro, Founder and CEO of Fourlaps. “It’s a powerful force when we come together to support one another and bringing awareness to mental health has always been a cause that’s very personal to me.”

As it happens, we’re huge fans of the shorts in question. They feature a 7” inseam trunk that hits at the lower thigh, include a zippered back pocket for catch-all items, and offer the best built-in liner we’ve tested out over the years. Pick up a pair for your new running hobby, or new yoga hobby, or that scrapyard gym you’re building in the garage, and choose from seven colorways (three of which are new this spring).

They’ll get the job done and then some, and you’ll have helped out a very worthy cause in the process.
